About Jong Hap Mu Sool Mixed Martial Arts INC
Jong Hap Mu Sool Mixed Martial Arts INC is a highly regarded martial arts school led by experienced instructors. Students, both children and adults, praise the school's commitment to teaching self-defense skills while instilling important values like honesty, hard work, and respect. The school's motto, "To Be Your Best," is reflected in the transformative experiences of its long-term students. Master Lee and Master Ben are fantastic with the children. All of the instructors genuinely care about and want the best for all of their students. Mr. Lee was very kind and is very focused on the children’s well being and respect towards not only parents but everyone else around. They have been quite patient and encouraging.
JHMS has taught my son so many great things, I am so happy that we signed him up for martial arts! Master Lee, Mrs. Mary, and Mr. Keller are great instructors and have a lot of patience!
My son asked to start learning karate. I looked up different marital arts studios in the Martinsburg area and stumbled upon Jong Hap Mu Sool. After a recommendation from our neighbor, it was time to start. Master Lee lets students try out for a few sessions. On day one it was clear that not only were the instructors, Master Lee, and both other instructors, exceptionally knowledgeable but more important to me, they really get people. My son loves every day he gets to spend learning from these amazing people. Thank you, Master Lee
I take adult classes at both locations. Master Lee is a knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging instuctor that maintains a healthy learning environment. (The assistant instructors are just as great!) Students are held to a high standard of respect and support of their classmates. The skills we learn are fun and useful. The JHMS team takes great care to make sure students understand how to prevent injury and to make sure everyone is well before leaving class. It's a fun way to exercise and everyone involved feels like family. I have observed some of the kids's classes, which promote hard work and good behavior both in class and outside of the studio. Personally, I recommend trying the women's jiu-jitsu and women's self defense classes. You can start at the beginner level, so don't worry if you have no experience. I should mention that you get to try the class for free before making a commitment. Check it out and see if it's right for you!
