“I started looking for a home in April 2023, and a family friend recommended Sarah. I am a 40-year-old first-time home buyer with high expectations for my first house and limited knowledge of the buying process or the market. Sarah and I worked together for a year before I purchased a home. Throughout the year, she provided me with an immense amount of grace and patience. Sarah showed me probably thirty homes, and at my request, some homes multiple times as I went back and forth. She never expressed frustration or pressured me to make a decision. We put the first offer on the home I bought in October 2023. She agreed to make an offer significantly below the listing price and worked closely with the seller’s agent on negotiations. Unfortunately, we couldn’t agree on a purchase price. The owners lowered the cost of the home in January, and we placed another offer at that time. Again, they countered the offer, and I didn’t purchase the home. The listing agent reached out a few weeks later, letting us know the sellers would accept my previous offer, but I got cold feet and chose not to resubmit the offer. I can only imagine this was extremely frustrating for Sarah, but she remained empathic and optimistic about finding another house. In March, I asked Sarah to submit another offer that was lower than our January offer, a big ask on my part, but she didn’t hesitate. Sarah worked with the seller’s agent, and the owners ultimately accepted. I can’t say enough good things about working with Sarah.
