The Old Roman Bath House

This was a lovely and relaxing time. The staff quickly checked us in and got our private bath ready. We signed up for the 1-hour session. It was about 102 degrees fahrenheit. You can cool the room with the window or using the lever for the cold water. They provide you with a towel, some water, and cups. Stay hydrated! There was some chill music playing, but you could still hear things going on around you. It might be a good idea to bring a robe and some shower shoes if you need to use the restroom, as you will need to exit your room and there is only one restroom down the hall. The springs around the bath house are free if you want to take a dip.

I can't believe the bad reviews I've been reading. This place is great. I've never had a problem getting them on the phone. The staff is friendly and professional. The soak in the bath is to die for. And the price is great. The first person pays one price and subsequent soakers pay less. They even give a senior discount. Maybe there are more problems during the high summer season, but I've never experienced any.

First, the history alone is fascinating. We were here the week of Thanksgiving and waited a little too late to get appointments but as luck would have it, my son and I got the last facial (me) and last massage of the day. It started with 15 minutes in the Roman Bath. My son has Ankylosing Spondylitis and I have metastatic breast cancer that spread to my bones. The 15 minutes was awesome. I really felt a difference in my joints The staff was outstanding. Nate helped us figure out the process and went out of his way to help us. We were the last appointments of the day but he gave 9:00 am energy. Both our treatments were terrific and they gave us both a complimentary paraffin wax dips on our hands. It was the perfect end to our Thanksgiving trip.
