My father was recently a patient here and I cannot say enough about how awesome of a hospital this is. The doctors are attentive and kind, especially Dr. Del Toro. He is very thorough in his work and you can tell her cares a lot about his patients. He is very hands on and did a lot of good teaching to his student doctor.
There were a lot of great nurses at the facility, I have to give a special shoutout to Rian (I think that’s how you spell it). She was very knowledgeable, caring, kind, and funny. Facility is BEAUTIFUL, ALL the staff is amazing from the time you enter the front door! You can see that everyone is there to assist in any way that they can. I hope other rehab facilities begin to model what Froedtert has done here! Family consults, PT, OT and speech therapy are just being handled differently with this, mom’s second stroke in less than a year. The staff has indicated that she’s doing better than most they see at this same stage of recovery. My mom just finished her 3 week stay after transferringfrom the main campus due to a stroke. Everyone on the staff has been wonderful including the check in staff, nurses, therapists, Dr's, Janitors, etc. Her therapists were caring and compassionate while pushing her to go further. She made so much progress while being there and surpassed her tests at the end. We truly appreciate all of the time they spent with her. I would highly recommend this hospital for anyone recovering from a stroke.
