Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing overall experience with Aurora Medical Care Summit years ago. I did not find the doctors and nurses to be very helpful or informative when I needed their help the most at Summit. I had a much better experience with Aurora Medical New Berlin and the Milwaukee VA instead. Unfortunately, Aurora Health Care has been the subject of multiple lawsuit settlements in recent years. In addition, Aurora West Allis was the setting for the HBO documentary Bleed Out. On a more positive note, I found other positive aspects of Aurora Medical Care Summit. Dr. Meyer is a terrible physician, every appointment with her was a pain. She also diagnosed me with an std without a positive result which then by an obgyn then told me I did not have it. She prescribed me a sleep medication that was supposed to last me until I switch doctors but they miscounted and refused to correct the mistake.

One particular nurse on Triage needs compassion training. Who wouldn't be upset if you are told one thing at 9 am on a Saturday and then after 3 more calls because you got no call backs, you are told something completely different. Very disappointed in Aurora Summit Triage!
