My best experience to date getting a CT scan (this is #5). "Sally" was flawless with IV, and worked with precision & speed. .... Can't speak to the clinic as a whole, but this experience was 5 star!
Everything is so fresh, shiny and new. It doesn't have the decades of rank death & disease baked into every fiber & crevice like St. Michael's does. Aspirus also lacks all of the religious imagery adorning St. Mike's - probably because you don't get the same sense of your imprending demise & the need to get right with Jesus at Aspirus as you would upon steping foot inside of that festing plague receptacle that is St. Mike's. Aspirus is definitely where I'd take my baby if it's ever infected with a zombie walking dead virus, and is starting to smell a bit ripe after a few days. At St. Mike's my rancid zombie baby would just blend in to the rest smells, and no one would think anything was amiss...
Just because we need hospitals doesn't mean we shouldn't be treated like a customer. We set up a appointment for our child here to see the pediatrician we see on a regular basis because our child was sick. Due to scheduling conflict my child was seen by a family doctor. This doctor gave us no new information whatsoever on what our child was going through. When I called to complain the manager was very helpful at first, it came down to tell me that nothing was really done wrong and the doctor was more then qualified to treat my child. She said she would tell the staff from now on to tell people what doctor they are scheduling for. I told her that we wanted a pediatrician and only a pediatrician it is my choice. I said that that the appointment was a waste of mine and my insurance companies money. So now here I am stuck with a bill for a visit that was pointless. I am currently looking for a new hospital to take myself and my family to in the future. It is sad that the stevens point clinic can't even come close to the hospitality of the Wausau Aspirus.
