This was a terrific option for bunny owners while they saw exotics and kept quality vets on staff for exotics. They closed their exotic department and now we only have UW-Madison to lean on.

Although very expensive...the medication from there was $479 for 3 days worth. My total being $1172. I was thankful for the doctor Justine who was very empathic and understanding that although I could not afford the estimate of $8k for my fur babies pyometra surgery. I am appreciative of the support they were able to give my baby girl until I could find a local vet to do her surgery. I do agree the wait times are excessive, we were there for about 8 hrs with little updates, and it was hard to be away from my baby worried about her the whole time, so maybe they can make it where the parents can be with their fur baby while waiting and I think it would be better. I brought my dog in recently for some digestive concerns. I know the vet alone is expensive & was honestly terrified to see the bill at the end. To my pleasant surprise, the bill was about the same as what I spend at my local vet for a wellness exam/vaccines. The wait time was long (took 5 hours to get a room & spent 7hrs total there) but it was pretty busy the entire time we were there, & several pets needed more critical care than mine so I understand 100%.
All the ladies that helped us were so nice, compassionate, & thorough with giving information.
Should we ever have an animal emergency again, Blue Pearl is where we’re heading to.
