Landscapers in Menasha picked by BestProsInTown

“These guys did an awesome job redoing my two decks. I had two very old decks that were in need of a face-lift with a relatively cheap budget. They were able to reuse the existing skeleton of the deck and replace the old deck boards with the new composite boards. They turned out awesome. They were quick, clean and budget oriented for me. Will definitely use then again for bigger and better projects.“

“I would definitely recommend this company. They did my landscaping around a new garage and other landscaping around my house. Their prices were better than anyone else around and they followed up with me to make sure I knew how to best take care of my newly planted lawn.“

“UPDATING REVIEW 11/13: I just received a call from the owner of this company, who was incredibly polite, professional, and took time to really listen to my experience. He even apologized and validated that some of the less-than-stellar moments were not ideal, or what they are striving to achieve as a small business. He took this opportunity as a learning and growing experience, and I could really tell he was being genuine in the way he spoke to me. The sincerity went a long way. In fact, my husband and I will be hiring them again in the future, and I look forward to a second chance experience with Jack's, with improved communication. (Also, our grass is doing great) Thank you for valuing your customers in this way!Our experience: We were told that work would begin weeks ago on a Monday, and would take about 3 days to complete. Monday rolls around and no one shows up, no one calls, nothing. Tuesday: no one shows up, no one calls, or returns our calls from the day prior. The third day, around noon, a couple of guys pull up to my house, and I go outside to greet them. They look confused when they see me and I ask if they are here to work on the lawn. They say yes. I tell them to watch out for an underground hornets nest and point to it. One of the men walks up to it and proceeds to spit a loogie down into the nest in front of me. I was completely grossed out and highly uncomfortable. They worked for a half a day and never returned the rest of the week. Again, zero contact. After many calls, attempting to gain clarity on when they would be working on our yard, my husband was able to speak to someone who finally revealed that they are "behind schedule" due to rain. They said the crew would be back over some time next week to keep working. The following Monday, I'm working from home, and hear some random person walking all around my yard and the side of my house. He drove up early in the morning in an unbranded car, did not introduce himself, and it actually freaked me out so bad that I nearly called the cops. Turns out it was just one of the landscapers checking out the work that was already done, which my husband was able to confirm after (again) reaching out to them to inquire if they had come to the house. The rest of the week they never returned, with (again) zero outreach. Finally, the third week later, after many calls and texts back and forth, they show up two days in a row to complete the job. Again, no knocks on the door, no communication whatsoever. They finished on that Wednesday, and not once contacted us to let us know the job was actually done. They rolled out sod in our backyard, and never gave us instructions on how to care for it or what to even do with it. As a brand new homeowner, I'm relying on the professionals to explain to me what work they did. Keep in mind, we had no idea if they were still working on the yard due to zero communication throughout this entire experience. We thought perhaps they had more they were working on, as we had several things they were doing. How hard would it have been for someone to knock on the door, let us know they were done, and asked if we had any questions???It is now the Monday after. 6 days after the sod was initially laid. We (once again) had to reach out to THEM to ask if they were finished with the job, and what our after care instructions are. They confirmed they were done and we are supposed to water the grass until it's soaking, twice a day. I now have to go outside and water my grass at 8pm at night, as I'm fearful it's already dead. 2 minutes of communication would have resolved this.I understand being behind schedule due to circumstances out of your control. But as the consumer paying thousands of dollars to have work done, I should not have to beg you to contact me back to let me know when you'll be showing up, and to have a progress update every now and then, especially when you claim to be finished with the project we're paying for. I'm trusting you as the professionals to communicate appropriately.Service:“
