I played front nine. The course is part of the naturally rolling landscape, greens are firm, slanted, and perched at the tops of hills so your approaches need to be on point. Holes eight and nine are great; 8 has a creek running lengthwise through it so you need to choose and hit your landing spot. 9 is a 200 yd par 3, I really like those.
Great Municipal Golf Course in the middle of southern Wisconsin - 15 minutes from Platteville, 30 minutes from Dubuque, an hour and a half from Madison. Set in the rolling hills of the driftless area, the course is scenic, but is a fairly easy 18 holes - plenty of challenge, but not so much you want to pitch your clubs The club has a nice area to purchase clothing or clubs, and there is an attached bar/restaurant (The Stone Hearth Pub)
