I had Oneida Roof and Chimney out February 7th to remove a very thick ice dam from the east side of the house. They use the "Arctic Steamer" machine applying lower pressurized water and steam to cut through and under the ice to remove it in pieces, which to my knowledge is the safest way to remove such ice dams. They serve a large area and don't charge for travel for these jobs which I think is nice. The cost for me was well worth it, possibly saving me thousands on water damage repairs if water had built up behind the dams and leaked into the house during warmer weather melting. Yes home insurance typically covers such water damage but making claims can be a long and complicated process and claims usually end up costing you more anyway from premium increases. This business has a good owner and he handles his customers with integrity and respect.

Great overall experience from initial showroom consultation to day of installing. Owner Josh Hunt was helpful in explaining different roofing options including color options with our siding. Simple process to make down payment, arrange for installation and communicate with Josh quickly. He was there during the whole installation on site explaining what was happening and got it done in one day. High quality installation and his team left the site in clean condition with no damage to plants or lawn. He finished with clear explanation of the manufactur’s warranty and how his team would take care of any unforeseen issues And provided all the documentation to back it up No surprises at any step in working with Josh and his team. I would highly recommend him and would go back to him for future roofing work. jack S
