“The one request that I would have is for to be asked if the patient wants the television turned on or off, or to change the channel to something more in the mood for the patient. What was on the television was distracting and something that I would not care to listen to for the hour. But really it was no big deal. If I would have been asked, I would have requested the television be turned off. Personally, I cannot stand listening to outside noise when surgery is going on, especially listening to '80's rock music, the ultimate distraction, I would not have concentrated at all, I would have been twitching too much. I want to concentrate on what is going on when I'm conscience. But no big deal.”
