In the basement of a farm, we found an old, beat-up leather rocking chair that looked to be over 100 years old. We brought it to Fischer’s Furniture Restoration in Hudson, WI, and they turned it into something completely unrecognizable. You can tell they really care about what they do, and it shows in the final result. It’s kind of wild seeing something with so much history get a fresh life. We’ll definitely be coming back if we find another piece worth saving—highly recommend.
Chris & team have done two very special pieces for us … the care and detail they gave each piece brought them both back to life! They are better than new, we get compliments all the time on the buffet, where they found beautiful Birds Eye maple details. Chris is a true craftsman and excels at what he does! Fisher's did a fantastic job restoring the antique steamer trunk that has been in my family for years! Stored in attics and basements for at least 3 generations, the metal was rusty, the handles were missing, and the interior was unusable and musty. It is now a beautiful and usable piece that will continue to be a treasured family heirloom. The new cedar lining makes it a perfect place to store quilts, embroidered linens, and other handmade pieces. I am so happy that i took it to Fischer's!
