Maria is the best barber I've ever had, and in the past ten years, she's the only person (with a few exceptions while in a pinch) who has touched my hair. I'm very picky about who I let cut my hair, and I can't just trust anyone to give me a good haircut. However, I know I can always trust Maria to make me look my best.
Whether I want a professional look or a more stylish fade with designs or lines, she's the best barber around. Moreover, the quality of her work is unbeatable for the price. I used to go to expensive salons like Aveda and pay top dollar, but they don't compare to Maria's natural talent. Some things can't be taught, and she has it.“

If you go for a cut, there will be sports of some kind in the big screen, and that will be the topic of conversation, or maybe home improvement, or the weather, plus local lore if that's on your mind. They wisely steer clear of politics; I've been going here for years and I still don't have the first clue how they vote.

This is a male-centric space, make no mistake about that. Whether they do lady's cuts I have no idea, but I've not seen it. But, ladies: this isn't a space that is unfriendly to women. If your friend or husband or whoever is here for a cut, come have a seat in the front and sit while everybody chats. But do they have free wifi? I have no idea, and honestly, for once in your life, it won't matter. The atmosphere here is a refuge from all that.

As for your cut, guys, it helps to be able to clearly explain what you want, maybe have a few pictures of yourself with a prior cut that you liked. Also, if you want facial hair trimmed they can do that too. Worth it!“
