Received recommendation from Ice Dam Solutions. Called Dambreakers and spoke with Jeremy. Got everything set up for the next day. They showed up but later than anticipated, which is fine due to problems that arise at other job sites. Worked for 4 hours and left because of darkness. Returned promptly in the am and finished. Crew was great. Congenial and hard working. No issue with them. Problem came about when the owner, I'm assuming, asked to be paid before the guys left site. He was told the property management company would send him a check in a few days the night before they started. Apparently he doesn't take notes too well. The guys who came out were really nice. That being said the cost will break the bank. 2 hour minimum which is $1000. $250 every 15 minutes after. Time starts when they pull into your driveway. So guys started at 8am after hooking up to our water and our electricity they finally started work on the roof at 8:30. We only wanted the minimum time so at 9:22 am they stopped as they needed to put away their supplies. That’s part of the 2 hours. At 9:50 they came for payment because I guess that’s part of their time too. So after less than an hour of actual work on the roof I’m out $1000 and did I mention they hadn’t even gotten to removing the ice dam I had called about...read full review
