Thompson Homes designed and built our house 32 years ago. When we started talking about building a family cabin last year, we didn’t look any further than Paige and Joe! Having a quality home last us over three decades with minimal upgrades needed, we knew we wanted their expertise to design and build a cabin that our family can enjoy for generations to come! The entire process was very enjoyable and stress free. Paige was very much involved in the design process, taking us around to all the vendors to pick out the finishes, always offering suggestions for things we didn’t think of. We highly recommend Thompson Homes for any new build! We couldn’t be happier in our home and now our family cabin!
How fortunate we were to work with Joe and Paige on the building of your new home. This was our first ever build of a new home and prior to the start of the process, it was very intimidating to us. The challenges were compounded in that our entire building project was done while we lived in another state. However, the trust and communication that we had and have together in them was there from day one and we always knew that our build would be done with our best interests in mind. We don't just refer to them as our builders but also as our friends. The entire crew including Scott and Hunter and the subcontractors showed to be quite the craftsmen and experts in the field and the finished product reflects that. It may be hard to believe, but we had very few surprises along the way which was a testament to their foresight and professionalism. We love our new home and love living in Algoma, all made possible by Thompson Homes!
I have a disability and I’ve worked with Thompson Homes previously to put an addition that would make life easier for me by making it more accessible. That was almost 12 years ago I reached out to them again recently for a kitchen remodel to make it more wheelchair accessible. I now have a kitchen that I can move about in more freely and have easier access to my wheelchair lift by extending my kitchen out and widening the doorway going outside. They always have a great plan and make it so easy for me to work with them They take the time to understand my needs. Genuinely caring people. They do excellent work.
