Many years ago, after visiting multiple senior living communities in the North Shore area, our mother decided to live at Laurel Oaks. It was not the fanciest of the options, nor was its programming as compelling as would have been nice for her. She moved to Laurel Oaks because of the warm community of residents, and a staff that cares deeply about the safety and wellbeing of the people who live there. There has never been a time when she (or we as her children) regretted her decision. My mother has been a resident of LO for nearly eight years, first in independent living and, more recently in the suites (memory) unit. Throughout that time LO has provided a safe, clean, and consistent living environment in which the staff has dealt with my mother's various issues. The upper-level staff has been communicative and seems to always have had her best interests in mind. At nearly 98 years old my mother has her issues and the staff has shown admirable flexibility in dealing with those issues. Even in this time of the pandemic LO has kept my mother safe, for which I will be forever in their debt.
