Our landscape needed a revamp, dying Norway maple was changing the nature of the back yard. John nudged me to have the tree removed and worked his magic. Honestly, I think he’s an artist. He came up with a design that really matched my desires and aesthetic, including a contemplative/meditative area, and incorporating an old eyesore “chiminea” into a new patio!
My back yard had gotten away from me over the years and I asked my friend John Gishnock to come take a look. He developed a sustainable plan that was environmentally friendly and focused on native plants. I am currently waiting for the sun to kill the weeds in the middle of the yard using the solarization method since I didn't want to use pesticides. The perimeters have been mulched but planting doesn't happen until August. Even with the disruption, the yard is nice this summer since I have plantings in a series of garden troughs for both veggies and flowers. Very happy with the guys who worked here and am looking forward to the completion of the project.
