O'Connell Family Funeral Home took our family into their hearts when they took our dad into their care. Mike helped us plan the events with the pastor. He helped us choose a beautiful casket and create a memorial card that was just right. Staff was present and very helpful at the visitation the evening before the funeral and this provided time for our friends and neighbors to connect with us. The next morning provided another hour for a visitation, then the traditional funeral and luncheon. This provided time for family to remember, time to pray, and time to say goodbye. O'Connell Funeral Home has been our family's home even before they had their business in Ellsworth. Through my parent's and sister's loss, they have become like family to me. My husband Chuck and I have already planned our own funerals with them. There attention to detail is great but most importantly, I feel like they really care about us. I highly recommend.
I cannot express my gratitude in words to Mike O'Connell and his staff during the death of my partner. Things I didn't even know I needed were addressed, without my even knowing I needed them.
