About DeLeers Construction, Inc.
DeLeers Construction, Inc. has a long history of building homes with precise construction and quality workmanship. Joseph “Jake” DeLeers began building homes in 1945, establishing a reputation for "no corners cut and no excuses given." This dedication to quality inspired his son, Jerry, to continue the tradition of quality, ethics, and service. Jerry expanded the company by seeking commercial construction opportunities and introducing the DeLeers Paint Division and DeLeers Service Division. Recent projects highlight DeLeers Construction's commitment to excellence. For a basement remodel covering approximately 1700 sq ft, which included a bar, bedroom, bathroom, living area, bunk area, play room, closet, and workout room, DeLeers was described as "FANTASTIC" from start to finish. The cost was considered very reasonable, middle of the road compared to other quotes, and the service received far exceeded expectations, making it well worth the investment compared to "cheaper" companies. Although HVAC costs were initially forgotten in the quote, the team worked diligently to manage costs and compensate for the omission. Management and leadership at DeLeers received high praise. Dave Rosner, a main contact and leader, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process, easily reachable and providing quick, considerable responses to questions. He frequently stopped in for walkthroughs and even assisted with physical work. Despite the customers acknowledging they were not "easy," Dave remained patient and never made them feel like a bother. Project managers Chad and Dave D were also described as "awesome," always on time, proactive with schedule changes, easy to talk to, and providing clear updates. The company's willingness to accommodate changes was a significant positive point. When customers requested modifications, such as changing wall color, adding arches to a door, or adding backing for a swing, the team was always willing to make them without making the customers feel like a bother. Phrases like "no problem…we want this to be perfect for you" were common, a stark contrast to past experiences where changes were met with pushback and annoyance. This willingness to adapt without negative emotions made for a great experience. Cleanliness was another area where DeLeers impressed. Customers were shocked at how clean the basement remained throughout the project. Daily walkthroughs revealed minimal disruption, demonstrating a high level of respect for the home. Plastic sheets were used to protect clean areas, and even after removal, the mess was little to none. The office staff also contributed to the positive experience. Mandy, the contact for invoicing, was great to work with, providing quick answers to questions and clear explanations. The quality of DeLeers' work is consistently high, with the final product looking professional and exceeding expectations. Even customers who admit to being "obnoxious" and noticing small flaws struggled to find any issues with the finished project. The painting team, in particular, was commended for taking their time, hitting every spot, and fixing tiny issues. Even after the project was completed, when unrelated issues arose (like a leaky ice maker or sewer backup), Dave remained super responsive and willing to help, arranging for immediate assistance. The subcontractors DeLeers works with were also highly regarded. Shane (HVAC) and Brad (Beno Plumbing) were noted as exceptional, being responsible and never making customers feel like a bother, even with numerous questions. Regarding the schedule, the project was completed in about 13 weeks, only slightly exceeding the initial 12-week estimate. The minor delays were outside of DeLeers' control, and they kept the customer informed of all schedule changes. Overall, DeLeers Construction, Inc. is presented as a company that delivers exceptional results with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality workmanship, ethical practices, and clear communication. They are highly recommended for any construction or remodeling needs.
We had DeLeers do our basement remodel in De Pere, WI between June and Sep 2024. From start to finish they were FANTASTIC and I could not recommend them highly enough. We had about ~1700 sq ft redone in the basement and it included a bar, bedroom, bathroom, living area, bunk area, play room, closet and workout room. The major points that stood out to us were: - COST: Cost was very reasonable. We got quotes from 4-5 people and I’d say that DeLeers was middle of the road but they drastically exceeded our expectations and the service we received was well worth it versus going with a “cheaper” company. We’ve heard not-so-great stories from some of those bargain companies so we’re very happy with our choice. The biggest issue we had in this area was that the HVAC costs were forgotten in our original quote. When we pointed this out to the team they did all they could to keep the costs and were clearly doing all these could to make up for the omission. - MANAGEMENT: Dave Rosner was our main contact and is one of the leaders at DeLeers. He was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process. He was easily reachable and would respond quickly and considerably to any questions we had. He’d stop in for walkthroughs often and would even get his hands dirty and do work himself. I’d guess we weren’t “easy” customers as we are a bit obnoxious, but he put up with us the entire time and my wife and I never got the feeling we were annoying them. - CHANGES: When we had changes we wanted to make (eg changing the wall color, add arches to a door, add backing to the wall for a swing) the team was always willing to make them and never made us feel like we were a bother. They would frequently say things like “no problem…we want this to be perfect for you”. In our past building experiences we were met with pushback and annoyance when we wanted to make changes, so it was a great change to feel like they were willing to make the changes without those emotions. - LEADERSHIP: Chad and Dave D were our project managers throughout and they were also awesome. They were always there on time and reached out with any schedule changes. They were easy to talk to and always gave us a good update on where things stood. - CLEANLINESS: We were shocked at how clean DeLeers left our basement throughout the process. Each night we’d do a walk through and you would barely even know they were down there. Super respectful of our home throughout the process. They hung plastic sheets to protect any of the areas we needed to remain clean and even when we took them down there was little to no mess for us to deal with. - OFFICE: Mandy was our contact point for invoicing and she was also great to work with throughout. Always gave us quick answers to questions and was willing to explain anything we wanted. - QUALITY: The quality of their work is so clear and we get frequent comments on how professional it looks. As stated earlier, my wife and I are both obnoxious and will notice any little flaw…and we’ve struggled to see any issues with the final product. Painting is one of the areas we are likely craziest, and Jared and the team were great. They obviously took their time and hit every single spot and fixed any tiny issues. When we had small issues after our project was completed (eg Leaky ice maker, Sewer backup in shower…both of which not DeLeers doing) Dave was still super responsive and willing to help and got people in there to look almost immediately. - SUBCONTRACTORS: All of the subs that DeLeers work with were great and what we wrote above could be true of them as well. Most notably SHANE (HVAC) and BRAD (Beno Pluming) were exceptional. We had tons of questions for both and they were responsible and, again, never made us feel like a bother. - SCHEDULE: At the start of our project they gave us a schedule for it to take about 12 weeks..and when it was completed it had taken about 13 weeks. The tiny delays were outside their control and they kept us informed of any and all schedule changes along the way. Dave provided us with a Mic
