After years of having SVA do our returns, training with SVA to do our books the SVA way, even redoing our books to accommodate different SVA employees working on our account, we still found multiple errors year after year. When these concerns were brought to their attention (multiple times, on multiple returns), not only did the errors go uncorrected but they even charged us for the time to review said errors! Not to mention all the money we missed out on due to their negligence! Poor service, inaccurate, lack of accountability and expensive.

have only heard worse things about SVA - were removed from my former private practice's accounting practices, have messed up on some back door IRAs on my former partners, would strongly urge staying away from this practice.

We were with SVA for 1.5 years, and they did not live up to their promises. As new business owners, we were promised support, but 4 questions sent to our "personal" accountant never even received a reply. All at a cost of 3x more than our new firm. The final straw was being notified by the state that our taxes are delinquent. Of course we were notified by the state, not our SVA Accountant.
