My lab tore her CCL/acl last fall, and we were scared and frantic to get help. We were so grateful to find an orthopedic surgeon close to home and not have to drive to Madison or Appleton like we originally thought we would have to. We weren't originally patients of Athens vet, we live in Medford, but they were so calming and kind and took us in righy away. I had our vet transfer our records over and Athens jumped in immediately to get us appointments and get the surgery scheduled. One of the receptionists sat on the phone with me for quite a long time and calmed me down because I was so emotional. A huge thank you to Dr. Taylor. We had to say goodbye to our Ozzy on Monday morning. She was very and caring. Explained everything she was doing. Thank you so much! I also want to thank Dr. Paul for all our visits and our emergency on a weekend. The girls at the desk and the Vet Techs were so caring. Athens Veterinary did a great job removing bladder stones from cat. My issues stem from poor communication. I was told they would call when the results came in, it took a couple months for results. I ended up calling after 3 months to finally get the results. Then, I asked to have special CD prescription food provided by Chewy. I had ordered it and it was denied by the vet. I called and asked why it was denied when she just had surgery 5 months ago. Was told the message would get to the vet. At no point did the vet call to say why it was denied. Chewy said they wanted to check my cat!. Why they would need to check and be charge hundreds of dollars when urinary track issues...read full review
