From intake to discharge, my encounter at the ECOW office in Antigo WI went smoothly. I spent very little time sitting unattended. When I was in between the different steps in my cataract evaluation, I was comfortably situated. Every step of the encounter, a cheerful and knowledgeable technician performed their test with precision and always with a thorough explanation of what was coming next. The evaluation by Dr Flatter was thorough and our discussion about the available lens technology and implant procedures was excellent. My visit today was five stars! Friendly, timely, professional, and highly competent from reception through the doctor. However I had to put four stars because the scheduling process was not. I originally made the appointment for December and was told 1 hour was plenty of time so I allowed for an hour and a half just in case they were running behind. A few weeks later I got a LETTER (not a call) TELLING me my appointment time had been changed to 30 minutes later. When I called in to see if the time would still work I was told it would take more than an hour.
