I debated about trying out Solei because it's close, has great reviews and seemed to have a very spa like atmosphere but my insurance covers massages, not spa massages, the no frills, nothing fancy kind but I honestly haven't had much luck finding good therapists. I woke up this morning incredibly stiff and sore after working extra shifts the last couple of days and thought I would see if Solei had any openings (it's not only Sunday, but new years eve and last minute). There was one 30 minute massage with JOY. I took the appointment because I needed relief so bad. Today I had the best massage I have ever had. The spa itself was so much nicer than I expected. It had the Gene Juarez vibes that I love. Everyone was so kind. All of the extra touches were amazing. Lockers for your stuff, heated racks for robes, comfortable massage table and a very relaxing waiting room. Joy's massage was exactly what I needed and she was able to relieve the significant tension in my neck and shoulders better than any other massage therapist. My neck has been so tight for months now and I felt so much tension just melt away I couldn't help but cry happy tears from the relief. I have already scheduled a 60 minute massage in 2 weeks. The staff at the front desk were 100% welcoming professional. The spa sanctuary is clean, inviting and comfortable for both before and after services. The staff performing the services are knowledgeable and patient while explaining different massage techniques available. The massage rooms were clean, welcoming and comfortable.
The massage was nice, can’t really have a bad massage but you can have a frustrating not so enjoyable one. Today I had a 90 minute massage & the massage lady, as sweet & kind as she was just talked way to much, including politics the whole 90 min. The Indian Music was a little too loud for it to be called relaxing. The massage was nice but the experience was a frustrating one. Most people at least for me when I get a professional massage I like serenity, peace & quiet with the relaxing meditating music barely there. I think it should just be expected not to have a conversation during a massage unless the client initiates. I will be back because I love this salon, this was my 3rd time back & my first two experiences were great. Just disappointed, $200 dollars to spend is a lot to spend when you are trying to relax & you get the complete opposite.
