Initially, I had a wonderful attorney then came the staffing changes ... never once heard from Sheila until she started inflating charges just to get herself "caught up" on the case. And had no clue who the attorney was who initially represented me. It was pure disaster dealing with her. Then the threats came via emails once I told her I was reporting her to the board. And she removed herself from my case. She was never in jeopardy of any future dealings, but thrilled she once again showed her unprofessionalism. I was saddened to hear the reasons for the staffing changes, but not at all surprised to find out ethics and integrity played a huge role!!

Unfortunately, the law practice was going through staffing changes. Both of my best contacts moved on. My case was lost in the shuffle with final instructions not carried out. They inappropriately published my address and didn't calculate the expenses properly so I could receive full reimbursement of legal expenses. The final agreement letter wasn't corrected (as I requested) and the offending party was able to sneak in with a "gotcha" that means they are continuing to do exactly what the TEDRA petition was supposed to address.

Complaint about Sheila Ridgway is financial. While her personal rates were reasonable, she called in many of her colleagues at her firm which drove the costs of TEDRA litigation to double or triple what might have been expected. Additionally, she seemed to not retain the facts of the case which had to be reitereated - possibly increasing her fees as she re-reviewed information. Also, lacks a good "bedside manner."
