Ev is a deep well of musical knowledge with a sonorous spirit. Anyone can learn from someone so humble and skilled. Instruments and musical paraphernalia abound in an otherwise open and acoustically warm session space, patrolled by Errol, a rare breed of Australian Studio Shepherd who will literally love your face clean off if you admit he exists.
Ev is a wonderful and welcoming man. His primary gig is hosting jazz ensemble workshops at this music space. He pairs groups by ability level and instrument. These ensembles are designed to learn not only how to play well, but to play well with other people. He also hosts open jams, concert recitals, and private lessons. In addition, there are other instructors that hold private lessons on various instruments in this space. Particularly children's piano lessons. If you're interested in seeing what it's all about, you should "swing by."
