I would never trust my locs with anyone else but Lemlem. I cannot thank her enough. She is an EXPERT in her field. The salon has all the vibes. And everything about this salon is perfection (except trying to get an appointment — I suggest going down in person to book. They are spotty with returning calls but it’s a small price to pay for the craftsmanship.)
I have seen other google reviewers complain about wait times and booking and yes these are both ”issues”. However I grew up in west Africa and this salon is run in a way that makes me feel warm and at home. I just think American culture prioritizes break neck speed and efficiency. If you have locs in Seattle then you’ve probably heard, or have been to Good Hair. This is one of the last free hair salons in town that have been around since I was a kid. Support and protect this business as it is one of the few jewels left in the city where they do amassing work with hair, and love the community ❤️
I love Lem Lem! Good Hair's prices are very reasonable, she is super efficient, and she does what you ask of her without trying to upsell you. I have a LOT of long, curly hair, but I would come with it washed and detangled. Lem Lem would sit me down for a trim and would have me in and out in an hour without using any heat. She could have my hair blow dried and corn rowed in 45 minutes. She's a magician! After moving away from Seattle, I miss Good Hair so much. Go book with her!
