After looking around and finding several “morons“ and dishonest people trying to give me the flat fee BS when I walked in with my key fob, looking to get it just cut and only cut usually before I even open my mouth. I am given the spiel of just how much it would cost should cost this that and if I were to do it on my own, it probably wouldn’t take it probably be susceptible to People hacking it or I wouldn’t do it right one guy even said something. Our keys were stolen and we needed a quick lock change. I brought three different brands of cylinders into Bergmans. They were able to rekey them to same key in less than an hour. I added five key copies and the price was still less than buying a single lock! Will be my new go to for any lock issues.

I recently had the 100+ year old mortise lock on my front door seize up on me and I needed to drill out the core. Afterwards, I tried to tinker with the lock a bit and in my naivete I managed to damage it such that the deadbolt couldn't move. The next day, I brought the lock down to Bergman's hoping that they could repair it. I really wanted to avoid retrofitting a more modern mortise lock (and likely drill more holes in my door). And I really didn't want to replace the door either, as it is pretty unique. Bergman's not only was able to repair the lock, but they actually seemed excited to work on it!
