About Banya 5
Banya 5 is an upscale and professional spa that offers a rejuvenating experience. The sauna, staffing, and amenities, including a small hot pool, steam sauna with eucalyptus, dry sauna, cold shower/plunge, and a tepid salinated tub, are praised by visitors. The spa also features an area with hot tea, lemon water, and self-care tools. Many guests highlight the cold plunge as a standout feature that sets it apart from other spas in the area. While some guests find the prices a bit high, they agree that it is the cleanest and most well-maintained spa in Seattle. The atmosphere is described as peaceful, with limited guest capacity, allowing for a private experience. The dim lighting in the sauna creates a relaxing ambiance that transports visitors to another place. Overall, Banya 5 is highly recommended for those seeking a little escape from Seattle while being directly in downtown Seattle.

Such a great gem right in the center of the city! The facilities are great and always clean. There's a variety of hydrotherapy options, and I love that they put fresh eucalyptus in the steam room. There's also freshly brewed tea and ice water available. The only thing that could be improved is the noise level as it can sometimes be quite noisy. Maybe they could introduce some quiet sessions.
Recently visited Banya 5. In Summary, the facilities left a lot to be desired, but the massage and facial services were stellar.
As many have noted, the men's changing room was tiny and felt crowded with 3-4 people in it. Also, the door to the pool area opened right out of the showers, providing little privacy.
The pool area was small, and the hot tub was a micro size. The spa and steam room were great, although one could burn oneself in the dry spa if not careful. The steam room floors and steps are slippery, and one needs to be careful - other spas I've been to have grippy surfaces.
