Took my beloved cat Basil in for wellcat exam. The staff was all very nice and helpful, made me very comfortable and my cat was not stressed at all. Overall very pleasant experience. ?

I hate taking my cat to the vet, because, well, she's a cat. But Poulsbo Marina Vet makes it as painless as possible. They usually have appointments in a timely way. If it's not an emergency, they will still have appointments within a week or so. When a patient arrives, the owner calls into the clinic to tell them the pet has arrived, and they arrange the incoming pets so that the previous pet is already in a room when you come it. That way I don't have dogs jumping and barking at my cat carrier and scaring my old cat half to death, like my former vet. I had my first visit with Dr. Perisho last week and I can’t say enough good things about her, and the office staff. I have a reactive German Shepherd and the doctor and staff made every accommodation for my dog to be comfortable, and at ease. The doctor spent a lot of time with us, and it never felt rushed. She was great with my dog, sat on the ground, never made eye contact - did all the right things. I was with another local vet and left because I didn’t feel this connection, and always felt badly that my dog was “so challenging” for them to care for.
