About Seattle Tae Kwon Do

Seattle Tae Kwon Do has been positively impacting families in the Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and Lake Forest Park areas for over 30 years. They have won the King 5's Best of Western Washington Contest for Best local Martial Arts school four times. The business offers ongoing classes for kids, teens, and adults. The Tiny Tigers classes have received praise from parents, with teachers being described as nurturing yet strict. Children enrolled in these classes look forward to attending each week, making it a 5-star experience. The new management has brought positive changes, with the new Master actively working with students on self-defense and forms. Parents appreciate that the school is no longer constantly asking for extra payments, making it feel less like being "nickeled and dimed." Seattle Tae Kwon Do has been highly recommended for children of different age groups. Both Master Kim and Lee are noted as amazing instructors who help students learn and grow while having fun. Grand Master Richards is recognized for taking excellent care of enrollment and answering any questions. One family shared their positive experience after their son attended classes for a month, noting that he loves going to class and his confidence has significantly improved. The organization’s communication is highly appreciated by busy parents for its high level of organization and responsiveness. Parents mention that this place feels like a second home for their children, with one daughter achieving her 2nd degree provisional black belt at just 11 years old. The friends made in class are described as inviting and supportive. Overall, Seattle Tae Kwon Do is a community-focused school that helps kids grow, build confidence, and meet challenges, making it highly recommended, with 5 stars considered insufficient praise.

Seattle Taekwondo is under new management and we are pleased with the new changes. We love the fact the new Master is on the mats with the students and is learning self defense and how to use it with the forms that they are using. As far as having SATs with their child, the SATs that are not scheduled to SAT come in early to spend time with her and should not be misinterpreted. My son loves his classes at Seattle Tae Kwon Do. He has made friends that he meets up with outside of class and looks forward to coming each week. These classes have helped build his confidence and challenge him mentally and physically. Highly recommend this program (don’t count your child out if they are neurodivergent).

Seattle Taekwondo is a second home for my daughter and our family. We are there 6 days a week throughout the year. My daughter is only 11 and has amazing confidence and strength. She started at 4 and has already accomplished her 2nd degree provisional black belt. All earned through hard work and dedication. The friends she has made there are an amazing group of kids that are inviting and supportive of everyone!

Management has changed in the past few months but the spirit of the school has stayed the same. If you are looking for a community to join to help your kid grow, build confidence and be challenged, this is the place to start. Ask around, say hi, and get...read full review
