About Lost in the Groove
Lost in the Groove is a shop where customers can find a variety of music items at reasonable prices. The staff, including Mr. Donny and Larry, are known for their friendliness and helpfulness. The owner, Paul, is particularly friendly and has been known to go above and beyond for customers, such as finding and giving away records that hold sentimental value. In addition to the wide selection of music and music players, the shop is also home to a seven-toed orange cat that greets customers at the door. The welcoming environment and knowledgeable staff make this a great place to shop for music, whether you're looking for a specific record or just browsing.
I'm always finding nice little odds and ends at this shop, and at a very decent price too! Shoutout to Mr. Donny for always being friendly and inviting when he's working the counter!
Paul the owner is just a heck of a guy! Oh and can’t forget Larry either. They were so awesome! He totally surprised me and my business partner when she talked about her brother breaking and throwing away her first 45 record. He quietly went to the back and found the record that she was talking about it and gave it to her for free. I later mentioned my first record was the Name Game by Shirley Ellis…..he gave me that record as well for free and wouldn’t accept payment. I highly recommend dropping in Lost in the Groove you might end up lost in the groove.
What a place. Got a record player recently and ordered a few records online but nothing compares to buying them in person. If you're in the area, I recommend this place highly. Super friendly staff, welcoming environment and their mascot, a 7-toed orange cat, will greet you at the door. If you are looking for literally any genre in any form; Record players, Speakers, Vinyls in multiple sizes, DVD's, CD's, and many others. There are genres from Beethoven, to Bowie, to the Blues. Their prices don't make you feel like you can only buy one item. We were able to feel satisfied with our new collection without completely breaking the bank. Larry, the wonderful gentleman there made us feel so welcome by making conversation, and knowing exactly where everything is. If you aren't coming for the music, come for the experience. Love this place and definitely going back soon!!
