As a new homeowner, I was so excited to refinish my beat up hardwood floors. I had Edgar out to do an estimate and he immediately broke the news to me that my floors are engineered hardwood and would not be so easy to redo. That being said, Edgar was able to explain alternative options to me and we decided it would be most cost effective to install luxury vinyl plank over the existing floor. Edgar understood that I had a particular look in mind and was very flexible with showing me flooring samples. After I finally found the perfect plank, the install process was extremely quick, taking one day to do my entire townhouse. The guys were very polite, showed up on time, and did a great job installing and cleaning up at the end of the day. They even made an extra trip out the next week to install the special transition pieces I had ordered. They also completed the installation of 4,000 square feet of new oak wood flooring, followed by professional stain and finish application, with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. It's rare to have zero complaints after getting any work done on your house, but I can definitely say that is how I feel about my experience with Edgar and Washington Hardwood Floors & Remodeling LLC!
We hired Washington Hardwood Floors & Remodeling LLC to replace the vinyl siding on my mom’s home and it’s stunning. We knew she had some damage to the plywood underneath that needed to be addressed as well. Edgar came out and gave us the best quote out of 3 different companies for Hardie siding. They also completed the new siding installation and painting, giving the entire exterior a beautiful, refreshed look with outstanding workmanship and attention to detail. He was the project manager and I cannot compliment him highly enough. Edgar was very professional and in constant communication about updates and timeline check ins. Hands down the best company we have done business with in Olympia. You will not be sorry if you hire them. We started out just wanting to have old hardware refinished in a big store we purchased, but after Edgar came out and gave us an estimate and his honest opinion, we ended up having some board torn out because they were not structurally sound. Of course we were somewhat reluctant to do that because of the additional coat but we went ahead and boy are we glad we did. The subfloor was completely rotted out.
