We’ve had a wonderful experience with Shin's Taekwondo academy. Being a blackbelt school really makes a difference in terms of taking the skill and art seriously. The instructors strike a great balance between discipline and encouragement, creating an environment where students build confidence, focus, and respect alongside their technical skills. It’s been great to see such growth — both on and off the mat. Highly recommend for families looking for a supportive and well-run program.
My son Josh has been attending the 5 year old class for the past 5 months and it has been a great experience for him. Master Shin does a nice job of teaching Tae Kwon Do, discipline and respect in a way that is also playful and fun, when appropriate, with the kids. It is clear that he truly cares about teaching the kids and he is very encouraging. Josh wanted me to say that “Master Shin is a good instructor!” The black belts who help lead class have also been great, in our experience. My seven-year-old enjoys the practice here! Especially the kicking. They always do small group practice which is very fun. Master Shin is humorous and patient with the kids. We love the experience here.
