Our experience visiting this clinic for my cat's annual checkup was fine. However, we moved out of the area shortly afterward, and I later tried to get a refill of my cat's asthma medication from Chewy. The clinic waited several business days after receiving the authorization request to contact me (two days before a holiday weekend, no less), and said the vet wouldn't authorize it unless I scheduled another annual appointment for the cat. I pointed out that it had been less than a year since my visit, and explained that I had moved out of the area and already had an appointment scheduled with another vet. I also explained that the cat's medication was expired and needed to be refilled before that appointment. The staff member said the Grand Coulee vet "wasn't comfortable" authorizing the prescription because we were in a "window" close to when the cat was due for an appointment. Funny how she would have been comfortable had the appointment been scheduled, even if it hadn't yet taken place! The vet denied my authorization and the cat is now taking expired medication and has had two asthma attacks. It's my strong impression that the vet is not putting the best interests of animals first.

Best vet in the area for sure, we had a little poodle that scratched himself raw no one would help us. Dr Poe looked at him figured out the problem and he was great from then on. Now we have another dog we get to take to her to get looked at.

We've been extremely disappointed with the amount of support this veterinary hospital has given to the community when there is a pet emergency. In the last 10 years we have not ever been accommodated by this animal hospital for an emergency pet treatment. We then have to drive60 miles to Brewster to get our pet the attention we need. This is a small elderly community and we need a veterinarian in our community that can accommodate unforeseen emergencies. With that said I believe Marlene Poe dvm is a good doctor just is not here to serve the communities needs.
