I recently had to move twice within two months after an extremely personally difficult year. I was fortunate enough to find Backbreakers Movers for the second move; I was dubious because the first mover I worked with was an expensive disaster. However, I was absolutely blown away by Backbreakers Movers. From my first phone call with Luke for a quote I was treated with courtesy and sincere personal interest regarding my situation, what I needed and how they could best provide it. This local company is clearly invested in their community and upholds the highest standards in moving families as easily and affordably as possible. From Luke, who worked through the quote with me and arranged every detail, to Michael H., my lead mover and his wonderful team, I have nothing but praise and gratitude. Michael volunteered to come by my home the day before the scheduled move to help me finish packing and get organized in order to make moving day more efficient and save me some money. Not a single item was damaged or lost; the actual move went off flawlessly. As important as the quality of the move, for me, was the friendliness and emotional support throughout this process by every single individual team member. The movers worked together like a well-oiled machine, every one of them a nice human being. I would give this moving company and its employees a 10 if I could and I recommend them, hands-down, to friends, families, and strangers alike. They are prepared to meet all of your moving needs, and they will treat you like family while doing it. They truly went above and beyond, and my satisfaction was their top priority. Darcy was delightful, she gave me the post-breakup haircut (and TLC) that I needed to feel fresh and renewed. My hair had been long for several years and at my request she chopped it off and gave me a great new look that was easy for me to maintain. If I still lived on the island I would be a regular customer, but alas I must find someone local in my new area.
Eli is an amazing chiropractor. I came in with a pinched nerve and intense pain and he is so intuitive in applying unique methods to relieve pain and provide an amazing adjustment. My pain was almost completely gone after just a few visits.
I also had a free 5 minute chair massage with Marc Juneau and look forward to booking an appointment! In just 5 minutes, he assessed exactly where my tension was and worked his magic! I felt immediate relief. What a combination!
Shawn is a hair whisperer. Three years ago, I responded to an ad from a woman who posted beautiful photos of hair "she" colored and styled. Lets just say, I was lucky to have any hair at all when she was finished. The mop on top was beyond damaged; breaking, tangled and burnt. Shawn agreed to consult and came up with a repair plan. Fast forward to 2021... Mick and Shawn have really stepped up to the challenges of covid. The shop is super clean, products are excellent, and I can't recommend the Color Box enough. No matter your hair, Shawn can work his magic to make it the best it can be. I wish I had never left Whidbey, and if I do manage to make it back, I will definitely return to the Color Box! I started coming here earlier in the year, I had found out that Dr. Bishop has a French Bulldog and since I have two of my own. I figured he was the best vet for one of mine that has allergies. He is very thorough in his examinations and very compassionate. Very reasonable and yes as mentioned by another reviewer doesn't recommend things that aren't necessary. The vet techs are fantastic as well and the front staff is fantastic. There is a wait to get in just an fyi but definitely worth it.
I have been going to Dr. Jennifer at the Reboot Center since I moved to Whidbey in 2009. Dr. Jennifer is forward thinking, advanced in medicine, knowledge and in advanced technology. I highly recommend her.

I can’t say enough about this clinic and how it’s helped our family. We all see Hans Janguard. He is extremely thorough and spent 2 hours with me.. He understands the root of the issue and explains it well. I was feeling helpless with my moods, irritability, and feeling drug down every day. He immediately pinpointed that it was my hormones and put me on progesterone. I feel like a completely different person and I am so grateful!
When I went to my primary doctor about the same thing, she tried to put me on an anti depressant without testing my hormones or looking at the root of the issue. I highly recommend this clinic!

Front desk staff are friendly and patient, and they answer the phone. The lab is great to have onsite and the technician is very nice and good at her job. Anna Edgecomb is a very good provider, she listens with empathy and provides excellent care. Highly recommend for a primary care provider.
