While he deferred attic evaluation and repairs to the apartment maintenance crew, he was able to get the bath fan working at the wall switch. It was the first time I’ve seen the switch working. If it continues to operate, he believed it may help the continuous airflow failure (by the TP square test) at the vent updraft. We are very grateful he tried to repair connections on the wall electrical box. On a separate issue, John showed us why it would be too costly a repair. As it happens, and remarkably, when John arrived the problem had resolved to a usable state. He explained that weather changes, continued foundation settling and fixed building materials in the construction could continue to make changes to this problem.
