About Veterinary Cancer Specialty Care @ Bridge Animal Referral Center

Bridge Animal Referral Center (BARC) is a specialized veterinary facility in the Seattle area known for its exceptional oncology care. The center excels in communication, ensuring pet owners are informed and actively involved in their pet's treatment plans. BARC is widely recognized as a leading oncology center, offering comprehensive imaging services, including X-ray, ultrasound, and on-site radiologist interpretation. The dedicated team at BARC provides top-notch care for a variety of pets, including cats and dogs. They work collaboratively with referring veterinarians to create the optimal care team for each pet. Recent reviews highlight the center's outstanding care and attention to detail, with many pet owners expressing gratitude for the effective treatment and kindness of the staff. One reviewer mentioned that their 16-year-old cat with GI lymphoma has been kept in check for about 1.5 years, and they find visits to the oncologist surprisingly enjoyable. Another praised Dr. Tripp and Bree for their professionalism, quick communication, and genuine concern, especially in managing complex treatments and new health issues like sarcoma and pericardial effusion. While BARC's specialized care is highly regarded, pet owners should be aware that routine vaccinations and treatments can be expensive. For non-oncological concerns, local veterinarians may offer more cost-effective options. BARC offers convenient scheduling and pet drop-off options, including curbside and lobby drop-off. Despite the cost, the center is highly recommended for its expertise in oncology, detailed imaging reports, and efficient service.

I only visited BARC twice for our sweet boy during his lymphoma battle. Each time, we were treated with compassion & respect. The vets were great at explaining our complicated options clearly. I never felt rushed to make a decision (nor judged for ultimately choosing palliative care over chemo).

A week or so after our dog passed, we received a surprise package in the mail - BARC sent us a custom memorial stone for our dog, Henderson (made by a local Olympia, WA company!). It was so unexpected & touching. While I hope to never need their services again, if I have another dog in need of cancer care I know who I'll call first! Thank you, BARC staff.

These people are some of the nicest humans. They care about my dog like he’s their own, and their kindness and attention to detail is amazing. My dog also loves going here, which is a plus.

From the moment of my first call with BARC, to the last appointment, they made such a difficult time so much better. Everyone who works there speaks to you with such compassion, and you can tell they all care about you and your animal. From the vets to the front desk, I always felt listened to and respected. Even with my darling kitty Wally’s passing, they made sure to check in with me to see how I was doing. They sent me a hand written card, and even a memorial stone for him. Through such a hard time in anyone’s life… our pets are our family. At BARC, you and your pet are also family. Sending all my love, gratitude, and thanks to the BARC team.
