I had a very positive experience with the man who helped me. He was very informative and patient with me and my not having any experience with this type of situation. My family has been buried in this cemetery for several years.

Under new ownership. Yes, it is privately owned. The former owner was unable to provide the upkeep needed; the new owners are working hard to get things back in good repair. Please consider donating time and or $$ to help this happen. There's usually someone with information there every day. Stop in & visit, most of the residents would love it! ?

From Mountain View Cemetery

Mountain View Cemetery located in beautiful downtown Centralia was established in 1899 and is the final resting space for over 8200 individuals. Many of the older interments were prominent members of the Twin Cities. Mt. View Cemetery has much to offer the communities surrounding it with in-ground burials, crypt spaces, columbarium spaces, a Nature Walk Scattering Preserve and Urn Garden. Our short-term plans include new columbarium walls along the South edge of the cemetery.
