LapLink sells a product called PCmover Ultimate which includes a product key for its data transfer software and a simple ethernet cable. Not all laptops have ethernet cable jacks anymore. These are accessories from an era that predate WiFi. All computers have USB jacks, but LapLink claims that a simple USB cable will not work with their system. They claim you need their special USB cable that has something built into it. Unfortunately, their special USB cable is about as expensive as their software license.When I accessed their online chat, they suggested that I get an ethernet-to-USB adapter jack. Amazing product. Transferred everything, even rather complicated and rare programs, with no glitches at all. Customer service was terrific; I had several problems at the start and they worked everything out for me and even gave me a discount.

My wife had a issue with her laptop not charging while turned on. It turned out to be a failed mother board. It was less expensive to get a new computer that fix the laptop.
