I have had a great experience at morning star karate would recommend

  • Jan 2016

Morningstar Karate has done marvelous things to my family. It's a great place to teach and learn discipline, patience and humility. The dojo was like our second home - a lot of sweat, tears, a little bit of blood (unintentional), have been shed in that dojo. It has made me a Yondan, my son Jireh - Sandan, my daughter Micah - a brown belt - Sempi, and Chona (mother of Jireh and Micah) - a Shodan. I still wish I lived closer to the dojo so I could roll with the class. Hanshi John has been like a father figure to me, and still consider him to be one. My entire family trained with Shihan Jacob Allison, as well as many black belts, who if I mention names, none of you would probably identify. My son, Jireh, is still pretty much practicing martial arts, and has branched out into Jiu-jitsu and has won numerous competitions - all because of his rooted training at Morningstar Karate. His combined training at Morningstar Karate and his Jiu-Jitsu has saved his life more than once in street fight situations (which he never started one).My daughter Micah had only a few hours remaining to fulfill her black belt requirement, but decided to pursue other things. That was fine with me and my wife. She had learned all the necessary things to protect herself. More power to Morningstar Karate. Keep up the great work Hanshi John, Shihan Jacob, and all the black belts helping out.
