The kennel has been taking care of fox, a high-anxiety dog, for many years and the owner is pleased with the care he receives. Many customers have had excellent experiences, with some describing it as the only place they trust for their pets. Customers have shared that their dogs, including large hounds and Teddie, a dog that has been boarded multiple times, have always been well cared for and had a good time. The facility is praised for being very nice, and staff are described as amazing. There is also a nice selection of products to purchase. Although there was an incident during the last pick-up when the computer system was not working properly, resulting in declined debit card payments and the need for cash, this did not affect the overall positive experience with Great Fields Kennel.
We left our dog here for about a week while we were out of the country. I was worried at first- my dog is anxious and an escape artist. The staff all seemed really kind and patient. We had some flights cancelled due to weather and were afraid we would need to adjust our pickup, but the kennel was so understanding and would have been able to keep her for us. The pricing was fair and we’ll definitely be booking with them for future vacations.
Love Great Fields Kennel. In 2019, was the first time I dropped my two senior golden retreivers off for 9 days. I cried(a little). I was so worried. Called the next day to see how they were, I was a nervous dog mom. They put at ease by telling about my dogs first 24 hours at the Kennel. Now 6 years later I can drop them off , no tears, no calling the next day. I'm confident that when I drop off my happy health dogs that's what I pick up. Happy Healthy Dogs. In conclusion, seeing photos on Facebook of everyone's dogs playing in the yard is a game changer. Nothing puts you at ease more than seeing your dog(s)running in a Great Field.
The ability to use the yard was great. Size wise, the facilities were the bare minimum. I was not thrilled by the bedding situation. I would not have been willing to leave my dog for more than one overnight without some form of cot or something. Prices were great, staff was fine. Everyone humored our extensive questions, while still making us feel like an inconvenience. If I have to take a day trip again I will likely use them again. Thank you!
