I moved to Vermont in 2023 and needed to find a primary health professional in short order as I have some chronic health issues that I need to have monitored. CHC Essex got me in quickly. At first there was some rocky communication, but I feel as if it got smoothed out once I'd addressed it with my provider. When I had a medical crisis regarding my diabetes, I felt as if it was taken seriously and addressed. I was able to see a specialist and get a medical plan in short order. I want to update my review because I had a negative experience before. I called CHC to let them know about what happened. They listened to my concerns, they were understanding, and apologized. I now have an appointment with a new PCP who I will be seeing in a month. They also reached out to me for an emergency appointment within 2 days so that I would not need to wait so long for my current health issue. Sarah Arvidson was very professional and listened to me. I had a hefty list of extra medical history for her to work through, but she remained patient with me, and I was able to get help for all of my problems. Thank you CHC :)
Been going here since I was a child and have never had an issue with them until today. Went in for concern of a fractured nose and had an xray ordered by the provider I saw. Was told it would be best for me to get a copy of the xray printed at the front desk so I could go and get it done ASAP. When I got down to check out, was told by the girl at the front desk that they don't print out xray referrals and I would receive a call from radiology to schedule. As someone who works at UVM, I can tell you, they DON'T call to schedule as they are strictly walk in based for xray.
