Fred's Energy has been incredibly reliable over the years and they make us feel really good about living in this part of the North East Kingdom.
They are incredibly decent people, as we came to realize: for a recent complex project that went over budget, they ate the extra cost without even telling us!
Their automatic propane delivery schedule has worked flawlessly for us over the years and whenever we had a problem with our old furnace or water heater they were there to fix it within the day, even one time on January 1st.
Since then we have been progressively moving from propane to electric and Fred's Energy has installed for us a new hybrid electric water heater that is fantastic (and also a new propane furnace).
Most recently, Fred's Energy installed at our house a new heat pump /HVAC system that they hooked to our existing ducts. It was a complex process but their technicians were hardworking, super nice and helpful. They insulated our entire duct system in the basement, installed also dampers, balanced everything, which made a huge improvement in how heat is now distributed through this two-century old farmhouse.
The Bosch heat pump installed by Fred's runs great, all the way down to when it's 5°F, and below that the furnace takes over, and all this is done seamlessly in coordination with our Ecobee smart thermostat. (Because we have solar panels and have accumulated electricity credits from the past summer, our most recent heating bill for part of January and February was... $36!)
This heat pump installation was a complex project and Fred's Energy ran through some technical difficulties that I'm not sure I understand. In any case, not only did they respect their initial estimate when they sent their final bill, they also included a significant rebate for the trouble, but we later found out by accident that they also took care of $1,500 worth of electrical work associated with the installation.
That is an incredible way of respecting your customers and a sign of great self-respect from a team committed to do it the right way. Honestly, in this day and age when everything seems to be so unpredictable, this is truly priceless.
We weren't a current customer but they came out in 30 min and brought the part, I suspected was faulty, with them!! We have water again!!!! Thank y'all so much!!!!
