“First of all - don't believe any negative, false reviews about Travis.

We HIGHLY recommend Travis Bissette, owner of B&T Builders, for your home renovation projects! We first hired Travis to rebuild two porches that were falling down. He did such great work on the porches that we hired him again to do an interior renovation project. But calling this an “interior renovation project” doesn’t even come close to describing the magnitude of what needed to be done. We had just purchased a small vacation home - our dream for many years - but the inspector we hired prior to closing the sale did a poor job of pointing out the extent of the mold and rot in the structure, and the ENTIRE structure had to be gutted. The entire floor, including all of the floor joists, had to be torn out and replaced. There wasn’t even a proper sill plate between the foundation and the walls. This needed to be torn out and replaced, without the structure collapsing. Although the drywall appeared to be in good shape, Travis recommended it all be torn out and replaced, as it had been saturated by the mold smell. We initially balked at this idea, but we eventually agreed to do it because we decided to insulate the walls. Travis was correct - the drywall stank of mold. What’s more, if we hadn’t followed his recommendation to demo the drywall, we never would have discovered that an entire wall was rotten, due to two windows that had been leaking into that wall for years and years. New wall, new windows.

Throughout this whole project, Travis never once encountered a problem he couldn’t handle. He was meticulous and professional, and always had great suggestions on how we could reconfigure the floor plan to make it better than the original. We now have essentially a brand new home - no mold smell, no leaks - and it looks AMAZING!

Travis has been in the construction business for over 25 years and does anything from building decks, homes, home renovations and roofing. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of the projects he did for us. Travis really is an expert in his field! He is a perfectionist, hard worker, and always does things by the book; cutting corners is not in his vocabulary. What's more, if you come to him with an idea - whether from a magazine or just something in your head - if it’s a bad idea (for your situation) he will be honest with you, and steer you away from it.
