Carilion Clinic Family Medicine - Waynesboro

I've been seeing Dr. Young at Carilion Waynesboro for around two decades now. A family member referred me to him back then, and recently, I referred another family member. I've always had great experiences with the team at this office. They are kind, responsive, thorough, and possibly just as important as any of those things, they treat you like a human being, not just another transaction.

Currently, I travel around 40 minutes to continue using this office. There are offices much closer to my work, but a few extra minutes of windshield time are worth it to go somewhere I can feel comfortable, which is rare in the medical world.

I am shocked by the negative reviews. I see Dr. Young and his team and have had excellent treatment for years. I see the same receptionists and office staff as everyone else and never encountered impoliteness. I hope the folks who are unhappy do follow up with a patient advocate so their concerns can be addressed.

Been going here all my life and never have an issue! It’s a great staff with great providers. I work in healthcare so I understand the turnover on providers but haven’t had any bad experiences with the current providers. Dr. Dunbar, Hollie Cappo, NP and Margaret at the front desk are all amazing!!
