So, so glad I came to OT Wigs after visiting the two wig shops that top the list of results when searching for wigs in the Tyson's area. I am receiving brain radiation at Inova and have lost the hair on the right side of my head. The other wig shops carry the same old, same old. Olivia, the owner of OT wigs specifically orders her own wigs that are the lightest, most comfortable, and have the most natural-feeling hair. She was a hair stylist in the past and also has experience working with cancer patients. When she found that wig shops didn't carry the types of wigs her patients wanted, she decided to open her own shop! When I visited the other wig shops, I kept saying to my husband, the wig hair feels like FUR, not like hair. They were thick and heavy and hot. At OT, I purchased a light-as-air wig in a lovely brown color, prettier than my natural color, although she could have ordered my exact color and style! And it feels silky like HAIR, not fur. Olivia is excellent at explaining how to care for the wig without buying expensive specialty products that you don't need. She also tells you how to care for the wig yourself to avoid the $45 fee other shops charge to freshen up your wig. Olivia is not in business just for the money. She genuinely feels for those who lose hair due to medical conditions or treatments, even going so far as to have shaved her own head in solidarity. Olivia is no 1 in the country for very high quality wigs at an affordable price! She is a great stylist and is a master artist with hair coloring! I highly recommend everyone to visit her salon. She has beautiful custom made wigs, toppers and extensions and provides excellent customer service!
