Colonial K-9 is a highly recommended kennel and dog training facility in Stafford. Clients appreciate the great care and service their dogs receive, as well as the knowledgeable and friendly training staff. The facility is clean and spacious, making it a comfortable place for pets. However, there are some concerns about the introduction process for new dogs in daycare. Clients have mixed experiences, with some praising the fair pricing and the staff's dedication, while others have raised issues about billing practices and lack of communication. Overall, the facility provides good care for the dogs, but improvements in customer service and transparency could enhance the overall experience.
I 100% recommend Colonial K-9. Whether you’re looking for boarding needs, training (on all levels), and even doggy daycare! We have 3 dogs, they’re all 8-9 years old. The first one we have, a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, has been boarding here for years, ever since he was just a pup. When he was about 3, I took him to basic training at Colonial K-9, he’s a working dog and super high energy. When I tell y’all I was able to walk him on a string … a PARACORD through Lowe’s with so many distractions around .. dogs and people alike, I was AMAZED! Our second one, a rescue pittie also went through the training courses at Clonial K-9. I had her go to 2 different classes with the intention of having her be a therapy dog that I could take to library’s and nursing homes. She came out of those classes a STAR student. Our last, but, not least .. our 4 pound Chihuahua has also been boarded here many times. Like any dog, I’m sure they’re confused as to why they’ve been dropped off, but, I know that my dogs are treated like family and as if they were the owner’s and employees of the owner’s own dogs. A HUGE plus to me is knowing that the owner’s of Colonial K-9 live on site. This shows over and over the passion they have for what they do. I know that someone is always there no matter what and my pups will always be looked out for. Thank you guys for the hospitality and love you always show our pups and thank you for building and never breaking the trust when it comes to our fur babies. You are appreciated 🐶 ♥️
