“I decided to give a local hay seller a try because 1) I’m not in a place like NYC, 2) something had to be more economical than paying $30-64 for a _10-20 pound_ box of hay, and 3) I didn’t live THAT far from agriculture.
I drove over, and checked them out after some email exchanges, and picked up a few things for my 4 bunnies.
2 BALES were under $20/ EACH, and they’ve lasted about 6-8 month (I’ve fostered a few buns here and there, too). Might be a touch cumbersome moving two bales of hay into a house and into a room, but it’s still in great quality for my fur kids. I will be making a return trip soon.“
