Been coming here since 1997 and since 2018 been making at least once a month visits! Staff has always been helpful and courteous. The Women's Clinic is amazing! The specialty clinics: Podiatry, Vision, Audiotory, etc. have proven to be top notch! I've had 2 major surgeries and several minor surgeries including a colonoscopy here and have always been treated with respect!

Probably the best Emergency Department I’ve ever been too! They triaged me and got me taken care of in a timely manner! Thankful to have been able to receive great care at the Salem VA hospital!

My experience with my brother Larry Stanfield October 13th 2022. He was incubated placed on ventilator. I am a ICU Rn and 4 other family nurses out in waiting room. He passed away that evening and I walked through the ICU door and was rudely asked to leave the ICU by Nurse sitting at the desk. The doctor was excellent. That nurse that told me to leave and not let some of my brothers family be with him when he breathed his last breath ? That Nurse that rudely asked me to leave out ICU I would like to share my painful experiences that she left me to deal with the rest of my life.
