Amazing staff! They really take the needed time during every visit with my fur babies. I love that the vets and techs will sit on the floor to greet and examine my dogs. It makes my dogs feel more comfortable. Best vet practice in this area.
We came here while on vacation with our sweet 11-year-old golden retriever, who had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She was having serious tummy troubles, and we weren't sure if they were related to new medication, her underlying condition, or something else. We were able to get a same day appointment, and the staff quickly got the records from her regular vet as well as the emergency vet back home. They quickly diagnosed what turned out to be bacterial overgrowth due to excessive treats (we don't know how long she has left with us and couldn't say no!) and got her some meds that fixed the issue right away. We were spending the week at a friend’s lake house when my son was fishing and our dog, Hootie, decided to steal the hot dog off the hook. Unfortunately, he swallowed the hook along with it.
I quickly found Lake Anna Veterinary Hospital on Google and gave them a call. They told me they would be ready for us when we arrived, and they absolutely were.
Hootie was taken to the back immediately, and the staff kept us informed every step of the way, including the treatment plan and costs. Compared to emergency veterinary care in Northern Virginia, the pricing was very reasonable, and we were in and out in about two hours.
